An expression of appreciation for the majestic creatures of the New England wilderness. This take on the American Brown Ale was brewed with British, Pale, Dark Crystal, and roasted malts which lend a mahogany hue and flavor notes of coffee dried fruit, chocolate, caramel, and dark bread. Cascade and Chinook hops add rich spice and citrus tones, with a lingering bitterness balancing the residual sugars and full body.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: dark brown color with a finger and a half's worth of khaki foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: coffee roastiness, cocoa nibs, caramel, white bread and a touch of earthiness; slight berry hoppy notes
Flavor: takes the prior noted aromas and meshes them to a fine sweet to roasty quality with an ever so slight note of dark fruits; finishes coffee-ish, earthy and bready
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable, some smoothness but also some earthy notes gripping to the tongue
Overall: I liked this brown ale and would return to it. I believe it leans more towards an American brown rather than an English one.

Decent brown, with notes of toasted bread, caramel, and cocoa and a mild nuttiness underneath. Touch of berry-like acidity and a modest bitterness on the finish.
