Draft at Bel-Aire, recommended by Ray, thank you sir! Nice variegated amber brown color, small beige head with good retention. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel and nuts. Taste is sweet and malty with a bit of roasted nuts. Very nice.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of pumpernicle bread, alcohol, and honey. The flavor is sweet with notes of cardboard, dusty hops, caramel, and alcohol, that makes its mark felt on the tongue. The finish contains a bit of strored fruit. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle, shared by papsoe. It pours an amber, clear body with a decent beige head. Malty nose with caramel and beefstock. The flavor is on the malty side too, with a little fruity touch. Caramel, beefstock and some roasted notes. Caramel-malty finish. Medium body with a pleasant cabonation. Far from my favorite doppelbock, but a decent beer. (080822)

Bottled. Clear nut brown. Appley nose. Sweet and medium bodied with somewhat syrupy mouthfeel, Lightly roasty with some notes of wood. Long salty finish. A simplistic doppelbock where the flaws outweighs the positive sides.

Light brown colour. Soft chocolatey malt aroma. The body is thin. Flavours are malty but completely obscure. You can’t really pick any one thing out. No hops or anything like that, of course, so you’re left with a really dull malty beer.
