Double Swan is a very pale ale, brewed using Pale ale malt only. The hops used are English Fuggles, Progress and Goldings, and an American hop Willamette. This beer has a floral aroma, refreshing to the taste with good bitterness and a slightly sweet mouthfeel

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - odd base earthy savoury note. Like fish sauce or something. Lemon too. Taste - dried lemon and more savoury food notes. Almost a bit of fertiliser going on too. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - it’s got a lot of intensity for 4.5% but not sure I like the flavour.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. From Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aromas of earthy lemon, something savoury, marshland. Taste is bitter lemon, soapy lemon. Flavourful, but not in a good way.

500ml Bottle: unknown BBD, poured at home on 19th June 2014 into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Slight haze to the light golden body, full white head and carbonation bubbles rising from the off. Mild hop nose, otherwise odourless. Dry, hoppy, bitter and refreshing. Pleased to say there was no citrus flavours, aromas or feel within this beer.

500ml bottle. Pours a light amber with a nice large white head. Not much on the nose, some faint malt and a hint of hops. Sweet and grassy, with hoppy, strong bitter finish. Enough body for the strength and a good amount of carbonation.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, citrus, and hops. The flavor is sweet and plainly malty. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

50cl bottle from Waitrose, Cambridge. Straw with a dense white head; aroma of honey and light floral hops; dusty, earthy, malt flavours with an underlying caramel body; lightly bitter finish. Pleasant enough, but rather boring.
