March 2010: I’ve just spent an hour fighting a ’Pampas Grass’ colony in my hedgehog sanctuary at the back of my garden, so I needed a thirst quenching special, I thought this might do the trick: Clear 500ml bottle, best before 20th May 2010, drank and reviewed on a sunny Sunday afternoon in March 2010. Poured into a pint glass (vase shaped). The beer is a a clear golden amber colour on top sat an off-white small bubbley foaming head. The rear label claims it had a smell of raspberry, fruity and floral, I agree, the wife could even smell a raspberry hint in the aroma. Strange mix of flavours, dry yet sweet in the first instance, turning hop bitter towards the end of the mouthfeel. The wheat content can be found easily enough and the malted barley is also prominent, both sit nicely with the hops and produce a pleasant fruity tasting beer. Ideal for what I needed, as Summer beer, or one for replenshing a tired body after a bit of toil.

Deep golden colour with a white head. Fruity and hoppy nose. Wow this was an unexpected experience. Rich deep fruity and sweet flavour. Some caramel note. Rich sweetness but still refreshing.

500ml Bottle - Dark amber. Sweet aroma with hints of bubblegum. Fruity taste with bubblegum and a slightly medicinal element, Slightly odd, yet still drinkable.

Bottle from Tesco. Pleasant gold in colour with a decent white head and slight carbonation. Aroma of sweet malts, synthetic raspberries reminiscent of Lindemans and a touch of citrus. Flavour had penty of berry and green summer fruits with a touch of caramel, with not much of a finish. Odd, but not particularly unpleasant.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy combined with notes of elderberry flowers and blueberries. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, muffins, raspberries, and bread, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks to fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing.

Bottle. A clear, golden pour leaves a quite small, off-white head. Fennel, toffee and some raspberry in the aroma, quite unusual but far from a bad blend. Flavors of anise, caramel and a touch of berries on a biscuity background. Biscuity, berry-like finish. A rather special beer, but quite nice. Not a beer I could down by the numbers, but maybe it suits some food. (080822)

50 cL clear bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Fruity/peachy into a more berry like aroma. Initial sweet berry fruity with an abrupt aspertam like stop of the sweetness, yet lasting fruity flavoured. Lingering fruity/berry finish. Blueberry again perhaps, yet lable says raspberry.
