Trou noir est un stout impérial vieillie 16 mois en barrique de bourbon Knob Creek 10 ans d'âge. Une bière à la robe noire, au corps bien sirupeux, aux arômes chocolatés et aux notes soutenues de bourbon qui rappels le caramel, la vanille et le chêne.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has toasted hazelnuts, bourbon barrels, and molasses. Flavour is less complex, with dark dried fruits, molasses, a bit of aspartame, and bourbon barrels. Less good than the nose suggests, but it’s alright.

Dark brown. The nose is a bit nutty, light chocolate. On the palate, decent fruit, light barrel. It's decent.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Near black with minimal beige head. Charred nutty bitter wood aroma. Bitter wood taste forward, some feint sweet bourbon in the background. Okay, but unbalanced in my opinion.
