Pours rather viscously to huge, layered nutbrown-beige head over deep dark brown beer with textbook lace. Roasted, hops, but also a tad soapy nose. Once more husks & smokey; black cardamome. Hint - not more - at whiskey. Peat, tarr, turf, pubs in Ireland (not: Irish pubs). Some alcohol, again masked spirit, bit nutty. MF seems to be the Kees! Achillesheel - again one which is too thinnish for the type of beer. Well-carbonated. More than decent.

Borefts VII. Day 2. Keg. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry with modest fine carbonation. Creamy dark malts, thin cream. Little toffee. Mild dark fruits. Really not much peat at all. Airy dry finish. All right.
