Keg at BBF 7, Bodegraven, 26/09/15. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is roast malt, light smoke, chocolate, toffee, fruit cake. Taste comprises rich malt, Chocolate, sweet and sour vibes, subtle peat. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, smooth feel, subtle boost at the curtain call. Decent peated affair, pretty subtle and we’ll rounded.

Sampled @ Borefts 2015. Opaque black color, medium sized light brown head. Smell and taste malts, roast, some alcohol, roasted malts, roast and malt bitter. Only lightly peat, which is good for me since I don’t like it. Medium to full body and carbonation.

Tap at Borefts ’15. Pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, caramel, roast, toffee and barrel notes. The peat is there but light and not overpowering. Flavour is light heavy sweet and bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Black, solid mocha head. Nose is sweet mocha, caramel, light roast, okay, not really getting peat which is fine by me. Nose is sweet, light peat (no excess good), chocolate, cereal, candy, sugar, light peat & touch roast in the finish. Body is a bit thin. Okay, peat is in a good amount, the whole is not particularly exciting but works well enough.

@Borefts 2015, van tap, schenkt zwart met mooie bruine kraag. aroma van koffie, gebrande en geroosterde mouten, chocolade, whisky, turf. Smaken zijn zacht. zoet. moutig, chocolade, licht peated (valt mij 100% mee), whisky, redelijk zoet, matig bitter, laurier.

On tap at Borefts 2015. Almost opaque, dark reddish brown to black, creamy brown head. Sweetish-malty aroma of peat, licorice, dark chocolate and coffee, peanuts. Sweetish-malty taste of peat, dark chocolate, vanilla, coffee, licorice. Long, slightly bitter and peated finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, flat. Quite good.
