Clear dark brown to black beer, solid beige to brown creamy head, very stable, bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, caramel, soft peated, sugary. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, mocha, some coffee, peated touch, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: peat, caramel, coffee, soft roast. Solid beer, if not my favourite though.

Tap at Borefts. Black with creamy beige head. Lots of sweet chocolate, marzipan, light coffee, touch of ash and smoke, rum, vanilla, light spicy, molasses. Quite sweet with light roasted bitter finish. Full bodied with creamy feel. Light on the peat, like it a lot.

On tap at Borefts ’15. Black, beige head. Aroma of tar, peat, sweet malts, light fruity. Flavour is a bit thin, earth, peat, alcohol, dark fruits, pumpernickel, bitter finish. Medium bodied at best. Wasn’t impressed.
