Hazy amber with tiny short lasting head. Sweet aroma with fruity notes. Same goes for the somewhat spicy flavor.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage. When the draught beers were served too cold, this one was too warm. It poured clear, golden, with a small, white head. The nose was a bit wheaty, spiced, sweet and with some ginger or cardamom-like notes. The flavor almost gave me that Christmas feeling, with cardamom and some other spices, as well as sweetness and pale malt. Medium body, and a sweet and lightly spiced finish. I’m not quite sure what I think of this one, but it is certainly drinkable, but I don’t think it’s the typical Belgian strong ale. (070512)

Bottle at KØ07. Hazy brown colour. Sweet, malty flavour with some anis. The flavour is not really strong as the name suggests. But OK, I guess.

Bottled. An amber beer with a small beige head. The aroma is sweet and very perfumy combined with notes of ginger. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of ginger and other spices as well as a light touch of alcohol, leading to a bitter finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy, amber golden - no head whatsoever. Distinct aroma of ginger. Medium body, sweetish caramel notes and again these ginger accents that - IMHO - do not belong in a Belgian Strong. 120507
