Cask pint in The Guildford Arms, Edinburgh on 25th Oct 2014. Is this the new Deuchars? Seems to be all over Edinburgh, just like Deuchars used to be. Clear golden body with a good, well formed white head. The nose was toasted/roasted biscuity malts with some lemon and grapefruit esters. The taste was more bitter than the nose suggested, still a malt presence but the citrus notes from the aroma seemed to take over somewhat. Nicely put together and although a little too citrusy for me it went down well.
