Refreshing, balanced and full of flavour. This is a captivating golden ale, sophisticated in taste and rich in colour. Edinburgh Gold pours deep gold with a white head. On the nose is a complex blend of noble hops and a little caramel sweetness. The taste is medium to light-bodied with continental hops and moderate bitterness providing a pleasing smooth finish.

Somewhere in Russia: pours slightly hazy with a gushing foamy head. Aroma is slightly yeasty and bready. Taste is bready. Pretty light. Not complex. Not bad.

Cask @ White Lady. Gold with a thin head. Has a good balance of malt and hops, all very light with an underlying sweet fruitiness throughout its character.

500ml bottle. Pours amber with a quickly disappearing white head. Malty, slightly metallic aroma. Well balanced but uninspiring taste

Not much aroma, not much head, slightly hazy golden beer. It’s drinkable but really just a bang average golden beer.

Cask at the Isles Inn, Portree. It pours hazy gold with a thick white head. The nose s is sweet, doughy, grainy and light toast. The taste is toasty, doughy, grainy, cereal, underlying sweetness and lemon with a dry, sort of bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A fairly ho hum golden, from a brewery that I know can do a lot better.
