Dead Rise was brewed to highlight the indelible character of Old Bay through bright and refreshing citrus hop notes and a crisp tart finish. Our brewers worked with the spice experts at Old Bay for over six months to develop the recipe and craft a beer that will quickly earn its spot alongside the iconic yellow, blue, and red tin.

Bottle. Strong Old Bay aroma - light lemon malt as well. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Sweet lemon malt and mildly bitter herb/Old Bay flavor. Medium body. Better than I expected - love Old Bay in a seafood boil but not exactly what I want in a beer.

Bottle: Pours light, honey gold with a frothy white head. Sweet, grainy, pepper, old bay spice aroma. Taste is mildly bitter pepper and spices.....grain malt, orange. Definitely different....nice spicy warmth. Pretty good.

Sweet candy perfume and its pale yellow. Decent co2. Taste is unique sweeter leather thang. Medium astringent finish. Old Bay? Not sure about that.

Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, orange peel and citrus. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long citrus and slightly malty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A lightly hazy golden beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is lightly reminiscent of dishwashing soap, there’s also lightly spiced touch, like in a rye beer, with a generic and quite nice fruityness. Some notes of pale malts. It’s dry and quite bitter on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. medium to full bodied. Pale malts in the back, with resins, some spiced hints, grass and pine cones. A nice bitterness too. Bitter, piney, grassy and lightly spiced finish with a touch of pale malts. Starts rather boring this one, but it’s a quenng and quite tasteful beer I could easily drink a few of. 150620

Bottle. Golden orangey looking beer with a reasonably strong head. The aroma is well hopped with a fruity sweetness. The flavour is dry and hopped with a grapefruit citrus finish. Overall quite a nice dry tasting and hopped beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Actually a bit lively for some reason. I’d assumed this was not bottle conditioned. Nose - flowers and light tart funkiness. Then spiced biscuits. Taste - spice and rye bread. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a dry spicy and crunchy finish. Overall - wasn’t expecting this. Firstly assumed it was not as intended but perhaps it’s just a little different.

355ml bottle from alesela. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas of green pepper, malt, spice. Taste is more green veg, spice, sugar sweet. Bit of an odd one. Clean finish.
