Bottle 330ml (09.2017). Almost black colour, nice beige head, long with good lacing. Aroma is delicate with chocolate, roast, sweetness and something like chewing gum notes. There is also small alcohol when beer gets warmer but does not disturb. There is roasty, dry in taste with marked wooden finish, very dry a bit ashy, a little sour, but for sure very interesting and quite nice. Beer is semi-full body, definitely dry but at the finish is subtle sweet note, long lasting on the tongue. Nice balanced and really drinkable like for RIS.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch 01-16. AROMA: predominant roasted malt aroma with a medium dark chocolate character. medium-low background of blackberries followed by an almost hot alcohol presence. APPEARANCE: black color and opaque with slight ruby highlights. Medium brown head with medium-low retention. leg formation. TASTE: medium blackberry flavor, balanced by roasted malt with a dark chocolate character. medium to medium-low bitterness with a rosted, dry and roasty finish. PALATE: medium body with a slight texture. medium-low carbonation. alcohol presence with an almost hot/solventy character. OVERALL: a nice imperial stout with blackberries that would benefit from more malt complexity.
