Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5
Tap at Red Cow. Aroma has some anise. Heavily roasted malt, some ash flavor. A little sweetness here also, earth. Finishes dry. Given the abv, I think this is more of a foreign stout.

On tap at Happy Gnome. Pours pitch black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of very dry dark grains with bitter dark grains, toffee and some musty coffee. Flavor has musty coffee and dry roasted malts supported by dark grains and a touch of toffee.
