Tap @ Brewpub: Color is the perfect shade of orange to mimic pumpkin, topped with a modest beige head. Nose is lively with spices, mostly coriander and faint nutmeg, but it doesn’t smell like a spice bomb. The body is smooth and creamy, as is the taste. Spicey from mostly coriander with a little cinnamon, clove, and finishes with nutmeg. The spices are certainly not overdone, but remain the focus. Doesn’t have any buttery notes, dough, or hints of pie crust that some pumpkin ales do, but this is a very fine example of the style.
