Dark copper coloured with a creamy head. There’s some grain in the flavour but it gets lost in the thin body. Slightly sweet with a bushy aroma.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton, Bristol 29/10/10. Deep amber with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and red fruit aroma. Flavour was also dominated by sweetness, with a touch of chocolate powder, a hint of crab apple, which may have been down to this coming from the bottom of the barrel, and a short bitter finish. Not so good.
