Keg @ The Roebuck in Portsmouth, West Yorkshire. I was very surprised to find this now seldom seen ale that was a mainstay of bitter drinkers for many years. Whitbread used to brew this in Sheffield until the brewery closed in the early 1990’s. InBev now produce the Whitbread brand. This bitter is probably no better than it used to be, ordinary at best with a small sweetness for its flavour. Medium to high bitterness. Copper coloured with a small head.
