Vestfyen Prince Kristian is literally the flagship of the brewery as the label features an illustration of the ship of the line ‘Prins Kristian Frederik’. It was aboard this Danish man-of-war that, in a naval action against the English, a cannon ball took the life of local naval hero and chief officer, Peter Willemoes.

Came as krudtugle guld. aroma : faint macro smell, boring and uninteresting. clear yellow, small white head. flavor is weak, boring, slightly acid or sourish (slightly), taste dissapears in a hurry, aftertaste is perhaps a little hint of bad/boring hops. remind me a bit of a carlsberg or tuborg lager, ABV is stronger but i can’t tate it. as it warms up sweetness is getting stronger and it tastes a little better overall.

33 cL bottle (as Vestfyen krudtugle guld). Pours golden and clear yellow with a huge white head. Slight sweet and grainy aroma. Sweet malty flavour with a minor bitterness into a finish that continues to be slight sweet. Certainly far from being the best guld øl around.
