Vestfyen Prince Kristian is literally the flagship of the brewery as the label features an illustration of the ship of the line ‘Prins Kristian Frederik’. It was aboard this Danish man-of-war that, in a naval action against the English, a cannon ball took the life of local naval hero and chief officer, Peter Willemoes.

Bottled. Golden with a small, white, diminishing head. Nice carbonation though. The aroma is malty, but weak, and the flavor has malt, sugar and hay. Medium body and a finish with bitterness and alcohol. Not excactly a classic. Rating: 3-3-3-3-7-1.9. 060518
Bottle. It pours a dense, white head over a clear, golden body. The aroma is sweetish and malty with a fruity touch. Rather thin on the palate, with soft carbonation. Sort of boring flavor, pretty much like the aroma, mostly on the sweetish and fruity side. Overall, a rather boring one, but not foul in any way. 120107

(Bottle 33 cl) Fully golden (colourings) and a nice, lacing head. Lovely soft mouthfeel, and some sweetish malt. Appears as if this beer has more decent ingredients than the standard cheap Vestfyen beer. 230999 (Bottle 33 cl) As "Vestfyen Krudtugle Guld". Dark golden (colourings again), decent head. Very watery with a light, malty sweetness and a discreet, late touch of hops. Very easy to drink and actually a pleasant surprise. Good value for money if it has to be cheap lager. 5/2/4/2/10=2.3 140799

The aroma is fresh, sweet, and hoppy with notes of sourness from the corn its been brewed on. The color is yellow and it has a fine head. The flavor is sour from the corn with notes of sweetness, a little brewmash, and bitterness. A very boring flavor.
Earlier Rating: 1/4/2003 Total Score: 1.6
A yellow beer with a small head. The aroma is sour - probably because it has been brewed on corn. The flavor is sour and sweet (the combination of malt and corn). It is a very plain pilsener in the strong end of the scale.

The usual golden strong pilsener colour, with a quickly disappearing head. Nose is sweet, with lots of maize instead of malt. Taste is very sweet, with some alcohol, but otherwise nice. You should drink this to get drunk only.
