Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Unclear golden body under a medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity and spicy with esters. Taste is sweet, and feels a bit perfumed, some bitterness. Fine body and decent aftertaste. Easy drinkable but not particular interesting.

Draft. the best comparison would be a belgian tripel blended with some tasteless international macro lager. Strange finish.

great golden pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is quite grainy, fresh bread, and some hops, with a typical belgian yeastiness.the flavor seems harsh, and unbalanced. Metalic hops, and more grains i’m not a fan.

From Aug 2007
Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins for US$5.99
It pours from 22oz bottle(bottled in May 2007) a clear light gold with a small head of foam that, after about the third sip, all but disappears from my glass but hey, there's some good lacing so it's a trade off.
The smell is good. I'm getting some spice, banana, yeast and a touch of hop.
The taste has some earthy malt followed by a good banana flavour and some yeastiness and there's a citric zinger about midway through. I started drinking this right out of the fridge so I'm waiting a bit to see what else comes out as it warms up....
Well, it's been a few minutes and I'm getting a touch of clove but nothing else has changed. At this point I'll add that it's quite the smooth drinker and I shouldn't have any problem finishing this bomber.
I just finished pouring the rest of this Ale in my glass and there's no sign of any yeast sediment. I was kind of hoping for that. ;^)
Overall, I think this is a pretty basic entry into the world of Belgian-Style Ales but I could not see myself not recommending it. It's flavourful and interesting enough to rule that possibility out. Give it a shot and see what you think of it.

On tap at Great Divide, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied sugar, Belgian yeast and light fruity esters. Flavour is on the sweeter and estery side, with candied sugar, Belgian yeast, and estery notes. Not authentic, but it's still pretty nice. Solid.

33 cl bottle @ Delirium Cafe, Brussels Aroma has apricot, moldy cellar tones and cardboard. Flavour has apricot, spicy tones, some moldy cellar and sweetish toffee. Quite well preserved, I like the spices here.
