Hades is brewed with a rare Belgian yeast strain that gives a complex spicy flavor and aroma. Noticeable hops and medium malt character make it an extremely well-balanced, crisp ale. Hades goes great with a bowl of fresh mussels, crusty bread, and virtually any artesian cheese.

Cloudy golden and light copper coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of yeast, caster sugar and a hint of wheat with a nice alcohol bite in the nose as well. Medium-bodied; Biting yeast and wheat flavours at first with a definite sweetness of caster sugar and some curacao. Aftertaste shows some mildish notes with wheat and yeast dominating and hints of very light hops and some alcohol assertiveness as well. Overall, a nice belgian ale with some mild notes compared to others from the style/country, but not amazing of course. I sampled this bottle direct from the source by an employee on 07-June-2014 in Denver, Colorado at the brewpub.

At the brewery: Pours clear golden with a white head. I don’t know, but it seemed too clear. Aroma is light Belgian yeast, with some malt, a bit of fruit, and a tad of spice. Taste is somewhat spicy. Kind of tastes like a blonde ale with Belgian flavor rather than a Belgian ale per se. Not that great. A bit underwhelming.

Bottle. Apple, white grape, almost vinous aroma. Clear golden yellow with a small white head, dissipated to a white ring. Belgian yeast, dry fruity malt, bitter herbal-grassy hops flavor. Light body, lively carbonation, dry finish.

Bottle at the Buckhorn Exchange, Denver - 31/05/12. Slightly hazed pale straw yellow. Bread and yeast nose with a pinch of spice. Tastes as nose, funk, Belgian yeast, dollop of honey. Light to medium body, a tad light, carbonation ok - average beer.

Slightky hazy gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate. Light lagerish malt. Saison like aromatics and a dry finish. Not much else going on. Pretty disappointing!

Tap. Pours clear yellow with a small white head with minimum lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, grain, grass. Flavor is lemon, bubblegum, grain, a bit spicy, with a mild bitter finish. I did not get much Belgian yeast in either flavor or aroma. I would call this a pilsener myself.

Hazy pale golden with a lasting white head. Fruity (pineapple) yeast aroma with a mineral note, some pepper and a hint of cane sugar. Sweet yeasty, fruity and spicy flavour. There is some American cleanliness that’s inappropriate for a Belgian golden, but otherwise very authentic

Purchased at Armanetti’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed on a great Saturday after finding out that my horrible upstairs neighbor is moving out. Celebration time! Appearance a slightly clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast and clove, maybe a touch of malt as well. Taste is unique, definitely more of a yeast presence than anything else, a touch of clove/spices, lemons provide a touch of tartness, above average carbonation, slightly medium body. Not really feeling this one.

Bottle. Apple, orange, yeast and alcohol aroma. Hazy pale yellow color with moderate head. Sweet apple malt and bitter/astringent alcohol flavor. Okay but on the rough side.
