Brilliantly clear copper body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet light caramel aroma, some tea like hints, and a touch of roast. Sweet caramel flavor, light graininess, some fruity hints and a touch of tea-like flavors in the end. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Bottle: Pours a dark amber with a large, creamy sandy head. Nice lacing. Aroma is typical Lagunitas sweet and assertive hops with caramel and citrus. Flavor is subdued on the hops, but plentiful with caramel and citrus. A little bit of roastiness. Doesn’t pack as much of a hop presence as I had hoped for.

22 oz bottle. THis beer pours a dark copper color. Medium white head, which quickly dissipates. Flavor is hoppy with a great deal of dark fruits. It was fine, but nothing to call home about. "Kill Ugly Radio" was better.

bottle from Ft Wayne tasting - Ok, my notes are lousy on this one, mostly because I just didn’t know what to make of it. I wrote a few comments and a big question mark. It pours clear amber with a big head. It smells mostly of malt. The flavor has a pretty good hops balance though. It’s medium bodied, has some mild hops in the finish, and well, it’s alright though just plain odd.

Bomber pours a striking clear amber with mildly frothy light tan head. A bit cold the aroma is light. It does liven up just a bit bringing up spice then floral and pine hops mixing with semi sweet maltiness, biscuit malts and faint wheat bread. The taste begins with mildly roasted malts and sweet malts that well up into a myriad of hops like late addition spice, floral and pine hop flavor. Midway and to the finish the three hops grow from hop flavor to more hop bitterness. Nice bold flavors that mingle with sweet malts, lightly roasted malts and mild biscuit malts into the after taste.

22oz Bottle Pours out a clear amber topped with a great cream tan head. Aroma of light hops but mostly malt. Tast more of the malt and very little hops. A bunch of bitterness all over this one.

Sample at Barley’s Smokehouse. The beer is a clear ruby-amber color with a medium thin light khaki head that dissipates slowly. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is toasted malt and sweet fruit. Medium-bodied and clean with flavors of toasted malt, brown sugar and hops, plus a hint of cherry cough medicine. The finish is sweet and fruity and leaves a lingering hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white head quickly recedes to scum surface. Orange rind aromas. Sticky with upfront caramel and a lasting resin finish.

22oz bottle. Deep ruby red/brown color. Nice frothy head. Mild malty aroma. This one reminds me of a Scottish Wee Heavy or something along those lines. Mellows towards the end and displays some nice brown ale qualities. Very well done, with a good hoppy balance. Creamy, rich, and warming. Wonderfully mild but complex, certainly recommended.

Big Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a medium light tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is malt with fruit and brown sugar. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a strong malt with a bitter finish. A good American Strong Ale from Lagunitas.
