Toasted malty aroma with a bit of grass in the background. Pours with a large, creamy, off-white head with a clear darkish brown body. Good lacing.Flavor is somewhat bland with some malty bittereness in the finish. Watery mouthfeel and soft carbonation with just a hint of warming alcohol. Well priced at $3.75 for a 750. Pretty good.

22 oz bottle from Bottlework’s in Seattle. Pour is clear brown amber with a smallish off white head. Aroma of caramel malt and some bitterness. Taste is mostly the caramelly sweet malt, though there is some almost black pepper spiciness mixed in also. The finish has some hop bitterness. The body was medium, and was quite drinkable. Nice one, I’ll support anything that supports Frank.

Rich copper with a tan head...thin on 1st sip, but very refreshing....mild use of hops, bitter finish....aroma--well not much to it....some malt, a sniff of sweet...on a vigorous swirl and deep sniff, I smell orange....very un-complex brew...alcohol well disguised...props to that...some drippy lacing overall--good and easy to drink for a high %

Bomber. Pours a transparent dark brown, copper color with a frothy, foamy bone colored head. Mild aroma of balance hops (pine and citrus) and sugary malt (toffee and caramel). Flavor is sugary, slight citrus and nice toasted biscuit flavors. Finish is smooth with just a touch of dryness from the malt. Pretty good overall, not sure what sets this beer apart, but very nice for what it is.

Bottle. Copper brown color with a light tan head. Light roasty aroma. LIght roasty, citrus, caramel, and pine flavor. Medium body. LIngering roasty, cocoa, and bitter hops. Just didn’t do it for me.

Reddish tinged amber color with a decent beige head. It laces somewhat. Aroma of roasted malt and fruit. Medium bodied with creamy carbonation. Sweetish, spicy, fruity flavors. Brown sugar, darkish fruit. The finish is not dry, and the bitter isn’t really enough to balance. However, it tastes very good. A bit sharp in the mouth.

Well, at least we don’t get another mediocre IPA for this new Zappa tribute - what we get instead is a mediocre "strong ale" - clear medium amber with a wee bit of froth on top - aroma of caramel, burnt sugar, raisins, cherries - mild hop bitterness is quickly squashed by a general sweetness that brings with it nothing in particular - tastes like cane sugar-sweetened iced tea - mild spices arrive late, and the bitterness returns a little, but the burnt sugar sweetness persists - tastes like a batch of Kronik that they messed up somehow.

Pours clear deep mahogany with a fleeting off-white head. Light caramel aroma. The flavor follows the aroma closely with a touch of bitterness towards the finish. One-dimensional and a bit boring but there are no real flavor flaws or detractors here.

Curious aroma - slightly buttery with a funny spiciness, seems like a cinnamon, nutmeg combo with a bit of a sweet caramel in the background. Flavor is cleaner, with rounded melanoidins, a nutmeg-y powderiness behind them, with an herbal sweet-sweet finish. What the heck is it? A spiced marzen? Interesting, kinda good. Deep but crystal clear chestnut color, medium cola head. Deeper into the bottle, the herbalness in the finish begins to weight heavily on the palate, making it a rather unfriendly finish. Pretty weird. So is the album.

Pour is a red-brown with a large tan head. Aroma is some sweet malts with wet hops and a nice fruityness to it. Flavor is very sugary with some caramel and nutty. Finish leaves a roasted chestnut on the tounge. I would call this more of a brown ale than anything. Bonus is that all the beers from this brewer are cheap! $3.99 for a 22oz can’t beat that.
