This handcrafted American Pale Ale is brewed in small batches using high quality American two row, choice British crystal malts, select hops and deep-well ground water from the Evangeline Aquifer. Hazy Dark Orange, Huge Foamy Head, Lots Of Lacing. Pine Aroma. Tastes Pine, Hops, Citrus, sweet watery finish. Decent Bitter Aftertaste. Thin Body. Tasty, Refreshing. Nice.

Can: Pours very cloudy orange-brown with a craggy, tan head. Scent is very bright pine....spicy citrus... maybe a little sharp coconut/pineapple? Nice, creamy soft, buttery bitter. Very smooth.... Quite tasty.

16oz can poured into a shaker. Pours a clear, dark burnt orange with a half finger of thick white head. Aroma of sweet citrus and pine with a good dose of caramel. Taste is light bitter. Dank pine and citrus hops with some grapefruit and caramel. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, pretty good. I would gladly drink this again.

Can sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Slightly hazy amber with a white head. Nice aroma of big piney hops and some malt. Flavor has some malty sweetness and resinous piney hops. Medium-bodied.

can pours carmel with a medium white head. Aroma is nutty malts and crisp grassy hops. Flavor is much the same with toast and breaded malts, finishing with light citrus and grass. Not a bad canned pale ale.

Wässriger Hopfenantrunk mit wenig Herbe. Im Mittelteil etwas hopfiger, die Wässrigkeit bleibt offensichtlich. Ansonsten gefällt das Bier mit seiner Süffigkeit und einigermaßen ausgewogenen Aromen. Zum Ende blumig, hopfenbitter, rund. 10/9/9/8/6/9

Sweet vanilla aroma from an olfactory of a passing hint, liek a memory or sumthin. IPA and citrus initial bang, grows quite rude and on style for a hoppy APA. Almost imperial as the session goes. Big blasting IPA impressin goes on and its almost like chewing on green grapefruit rind and pulp. Tar pine something but its not quite goo-e. Interesting APA n early cloying vanilla something in the background.

Southern Star Pine Belt Pale Ale makes for a solid beer, if a lengthily-named one. Huge load of toffee malts, bitter slap of hops to keep everything in line, and a great, drawn out bittersweet finish. A little big for a pale ale, yet too malty for an IPA, Pine Belt kind of exists in that same netherworld as its obvious idol, Dale’s Pale Ale. Doesn’t matter, though, this beer is tasty, and comes in large cans. Turns out large cans of beer can be good when not filled with High Life or Foster’s.

Received in trade from RickSawyer and TexIndy, Thanks for the opportunity guys. Pours a nearly clear orange amber color with a fluffy off white head that sticks some decent lace on the way down the glass. Smells of hops. Heavy pine and grapefruit with a bit of caramel hidden in the background. Taste is a little sweet with bread and caramel hiding underneath pine a grapefruit. Sharp bitterness leading to a dry finish and lingering grapefruit on the palette. Mouthfeel is grainy and oily, body is medium to thin, carbonation is sharp. Great little pale ale, I could see myself downing a few of these on a warm summer day. The body could use a little boost, but the taste is pretty damn good.
