We’re back with our second experimental soiree into Manilita hops from Freestyle Farms in New Zealand, the sequel if you will? Yeah, it’s a stretch we know...
After first using Manilita during the Triple Dry Hopped series, we were enamoured with this unique and powerful hop. So we begged and pleaded with Freestyle Farms (see just asked) for some Late Harvest Manilita which has a supercharged fruity profile that pops and locks all the way across your palate.
By combining Manilita with smaller additions of Southern Cross and Mosaic hops we’ve created an electric flavour profile of red grapefruit, lemon and raspberry with a sweet lolly character on extra hazy, extra smooth malt body.

From a 500ml can on 2/3/2025. Pours a hazy dirty golden with a medium head. The nose is primarily citrus fruit with some tropical overtones. Tastes of orange, mango and passionfruit, with the sweetness met by a lovely and district zesty, citrus rind bitterness. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Balanced, lovely.
