Sampled from the tap at Minnesota Winterfest 2017. Pours a clear brown with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of earthy grains and earthy chocolate with a bit of roast and ashy cigar backing. Flavor has dark grains, dark chocolate, light toffee and a bit of ashy cigar underlying.

ABR 2016. I was hoping for a lot of smoke based on the flavor. Instead it is a strong porter. Good roasted malt, smooth palate. The minimum of smoked malt does very little, and it seems very safe. Solid porter but not what I was hoping for.
