750ml split by Gene at DC tasting. Thick orange-brown, some floaty chunks. Malt centered, some candy orange nuances, maybe some slight caramelly diacetyl. Unexceptional, but rather sessionable for the ABV. Slight watery mouthfeel which complements the smooth malty tones. Orange clove Smooth, somewhat nutty. OK.

Bottle at Eataly store, Bologna, Italia 26.02.11 Pours murky brown some medium carbonation, with a rim of bubbles. Soft in the mouth with a honey sweetness, not getting much spice, there is a hint of the tropical about this and I get some fruit, possibly banana. Very good. Shared with Dad & Barry. 5th beer of Italian Beer Tasting at Finalmente in Sleepy Hollow, NY. This is my favorite so far of this tasting. Pours amber and smells spicy and of dark fruit. Tastes of plum and other fruits, its malty with hints of caramel with some hop. really good now this tasting is heating up.

750 from Star Grocery in Berkeley, CA. Pours a rich reddish ripe peach color with a large creamy beige head. Lots of fruit aroma. Like peach, plum, grape. Full bodied with creamy carbonation. Fresh fruit flavors over mild caramel backbone. Smooth. Fresh. Slightly sweet like a fresh peach. But there’s a bitterness lingering that shows up decidedly in the finish. Dang this is good stuff. There are little hot bits here and there. Sometimes it turns into an apricot pit flavor. Very good.
