Brewed for Bristol Beer Week 2015.
Intriguing twist to this rich, full-flavoured and satisfying dark ale that’s brewed with an all-British blend of five grains and hops. The mint lifts the palate; think Mint Club biscuit. Only less minty and more beery. Chocolate hints and well-rounded finish.
What’s in it?
Munich, Dark Crystal, Wheat, Chocolate, Brown malts from Warminster Maltings
Lactose
Challenger (UK) hops from Charles Faram of Malvern
Peppermint essence
water, yeast, finings.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, 10/10/2015. Deep brown with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of dark fruit, roasted malts and a whiff of mint. Flavour was sweetish upfront with more fruits and toasty malts, before a touch more mint leading to a dryish finish. Enjoyable.
