Draft at Ølfestival, København, 2007. A pitch black beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of chocolate, and lesser notes of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet again with very strong notes of chocolate, as well as medium notes of roasted malt and citrus, leading to a bitter end.
Bottled at Ølfestival, Århus, 2008 under the name of Avartia Porter - now this is confusing, is it the same beer or not? if so then this rating is of a 1 year old Avartia Stout: A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of very hard roasted malt as well as coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish. [8/4/8/4/17]

Draught at Copenhagen beerfestival. Creamy lightbrown excellent fully lasting head. Black colour. Powerfull malty and light hoppy aroma. Really heavy licorice notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Very long bitter finish with lovely notes of dark chocolate and licorice. Exstremely creamy palate. Fantastic beer from Carlsberg.

CBF07 sample from tap. Pours black/deep brown, some light brown head. Aroma is dark roasted malt and coffee. No citric notes. Flavour is really dark coffee, neither bitter nor hoppy at first. Slight bitter in the finish but this is mostly from the coffee rather than the hops.
