700 ml bottle, at Murphy’s 8541 Irish pub, Skødstrup. ABV is 8.1%. Very dark ruby colour, moderate to low head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of dark malts, caramel and Saaz hops. The flavour has notes of caramel without being sweet, the Saaz hops are moderate but noticeable.

Muddy chestnut brown. Somewhat alcoholic, almost malt liquor aroma with some dark malts. Lots of alcohol, nut much saaz. A bit on the harsh side.

Bottle. A clear, copper beer wtih a finger-thick off-white to beige head. Malty-sweet and biscuity nose with some alcohol, caramel, a hint of molasses and some hops. Sweet and malty flavor with a molasses-like, or hvidtøl-like malty sweetness. Fine bitterness too, but less than expected or hoped for. Full-bodied and warming, rather sticky. Sweet finish with some bitterness. I find the beer to be a bit too much, with less hoppyness than expected from the name. A quite decent beer though. (090401)

Bottle @ chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2008. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma with hints of caramel. Sweetish malty and fruity caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty fruity finish with some hints of hops and caramel in the aftertaste.

70 cl bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly deminishing head. Dark red-amber colour. Heavy mlty light hoppy aroma. Light sweet moderate bitter flavor. Metallic average finish. Oily palate. Disapointing boring beer.

66cl bottle. Pours dark brown with a sprinkly fading head that leaves no lacings. Nose is sweet of sugar & roasted malts - quite ashy. Medium to thin & sticky palate. Taste has caramel & bread.! Not too keen on the ashyness & quite mediocre overall!!
