Cask at Black Lion, Nantwich. Pours golden amber with a small white head and good lacing. Some vague maltiness in the aroma, but not much else. In the mouth it is sweet and malty, if a little watery. There’s an underlying fruitiness along with grains, biscuits and some hints of corn and ginger. Some bitterness comes out in the finish. This is exscellent – a simple beer, but done very well.
