The little brother of our Albion brewed for Bristol Beer Week (it had a working title of ‘Little Albion’ but the beer turned out radically different to it’s relative so a new name was brainstormed).

A traditionally-made Westcountry ‘small beer’ with a blend of traditional English malts and well hopped with English hops, with dry-hopping for a modern twist.

Plenty of flavour for a low strength beer with good malt/hop balance and finish.

Only a handful of casks have been made so one to savour!

What’s in it:
Maris Otter, Crystal, Brown, Chocolate malts from Warminster Maltings.
Golden syrup, lactose.
Challenger (UK), Fuggles (UK) Goldings (UK) and Bramling Cross (UK) hops from Charles Faram of Malvern.
Dry hopped with Admiral (UK).

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 10/9/2014. Dark brown with a frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate and some leafy hops. Flavour was also sweet, with more chocolate, a touch of caramel and then a toasty finish. Very good.
