Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Bottle Apostle, South Hackney. Pours black with a dense, creamy brown head. A nice and rich dark beer, medium+ sweet, layered dark malts, chocolate, baking cocoa, some alcohol, sturdy roast, dark fruits, dried berries, raisins, fudge, burnt marshmallows. Full bodied, lightly oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish, sticky dark malts, more chocolate notes, cherries, roast, modest earthy bitterness. Delicious beer, moreish, no nonsense. Nice work.
