A clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of bacon, smoked pale malt, toffee. Taste of gently smoked malt, bacon, spicy and floral hops.

Süßlicher rauchiger Beginn, der mit Holzchips-Noten enttäuscht. Wenig Vanille, süßlich, unrund. Rauchig bleibend, nun eher trocken, geringe Herbe. Naja... 9/6/8/6/11/6

Tap at Indewildeman, Amsterdam, 25th April 25, lunchtime preflight beers. Aroma is slight smoke, taste is pleasant, a light smoke, straw, grass. Not so smokey, but OK

0.44 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before February 2026. Minimally hazy, deep amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite smoky aroma of caramel, toasted nuts, smoked ham and hints of honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite smoky and a bit fruity taste of caramel, toasted nuts, smoked ham, quite some oak and hints of citrus, followed by a short, moderately bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very pleasant lager, not as smoky as expected but quite smooth and quaffable.
