Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Lab. Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy mocha head. The aroma holds lightly ashy roast, some aged and lightly tangy dark fruits, berries, earth and leather. Light sweet flavour with some meaty old burnt malts, bitter ashy wood and scorched earth, a light metallic kite, baking cocoa, leathery berries. Medium bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Finishes with mild warmth, more bitter ash and cocoa, more leathery fruits. Perhaps a little past its best, but not bad overall.
