Cask at the brewery taproom. Pours clear copper-brown with a creamy, off-white head. Hints of smoked malt in the nose, some toasted toffee, mellow cocoa. Light sweet flavour with bland roastted malt character, some minerality, burnt leaves, vague cocoa. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Quite dry in the finish, faintly ashy, with burnt toast, minerals, weak cocoa. So so overall.
