Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours hazy yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Dried citrus rind in the nose, some minerals, dry pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of tangerine, lemon rind, straw, pale malts, biscuits. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Drying on the finish, lightly pithy, rindy, some grass and pine needles, biscuity pale malts. Pretty good stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Bavarian IPA @dylanadmin1 on 13 Nov 2014 at 00:16 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: Draft at the brewery during their Oktoberfest. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy head. CItrusy hops in the aroma with melon accents, and bread. Medium sweet flavor with some husky grain bitterness, more melon, ripe orange, papaya. Medium bodied with average carbonation. OK balance to finish with dry and grainy bread, light grass, melon, orange rind. Fair.
