Bottle at home in London - picked up at Real Ale in Twickenham. Opens with a sturdy hiss. Pours unclear gold with some particulates and a frothy, pure white head. Rindy and ripening citrus fruits in the aroma, some pale bread, pine. Medium sweet flavour with moderate piney bitterness, gooey citrus, some marmalade, melon, papaya, hop oils, pale bread. Medium to full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with a dose of hop resin, piney and rindy bitterness, somewhat dry pale bread, more ripe citrus, tangerine, mango, a little raw grass. This one opens up rather nicely. It really straddles the line between old school British IPA and a cleaner, more modern interpretation of the style. Overall, it’s solid.
