23/2/2019. Cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival 2019, Norwich. Pours clear amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, orange, malt, toffee and light spice. Medium plus sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Dry fruity finish. Pretty good.

Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, berryish and mildly sour notes. Also some slight wooden and herbal notes. Flavour is the same along with some mild spices. A bit infected, but gets better when it warms up a bit.

From gravity dispense at The Reading Beer Festival, sampled with Finn. Dark amber body with a slight haze. Some patches on the surface. Dark fruits in smell and taste. Nice bitter finish. Rather well bodied. More than average for a golden ale (02.05.2008).

Cask cellar run at Ship & Mitre BF, Liverpool. I come from Kent to Liverpool and have a Sussex beer. Gold, no head. Some fullness from the alcohol. Decent strong beer in the style of Summer Lightning. OK, some stone fruit flavour. Alcohol is a bit obvious. White pepper hop finish.
