Cask, half pint.
Poured near black in color with an off white head.
Lovely coffee flavors here, chocolate pralines, toffee and light roastedness. Sweet porter, quite tasty.

Beer Number 17 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 11 of 30 still untried. Heavy dryish coffee influence, but remains light textured, and pleasantly so.

Cask at the White Hart, Aylesbury before heading off to see "Pretty Vacant: A History of Punk and New Wave" at the nearby Waterside Theatre. Nice looking brew - clear mahogany brown with a thick beige head. There's nothing subtle about the mocha - this is full-on coffee cream chocolates! Nice rich creamy mouthfeel too. There's a subtle roasty earthiness in the finish to balance. Really enjoyed this - an excellent post-dinner brew. Beer of the festival for me.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] Almost black with an attractive ruby red glint and a tight cream coloured head; cocoa aroma; rich cocoa taste , but with a very thin milky body; then some blackcurrant and more chocolate before a dry fruity finish.
