Cask handpull at Barrel Vault JDW St Pancras. Clear deep amber colour lasting beige head. Malty beer. Some fruit. Berries and hedgerow fruits. OK condition. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Yes tasty. Decent malts. Fine. Quite drinkable. Punchy at 5%

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A dark amber pour with a tight cream coloured head; malty aroma; smooth and creamy in the mouth with a malty taste; then a drier finish with a little spice and a light bitterness. A rather nice ESB.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours “bitter brown” with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. The aroma is basically sweet malts. In the mouth it is quite bitter but with some underlying sweetness. Flavour has malts and traditional hops with some hints of pepper. Finish is dry with a little spiciness. This is reasonable – though a little bland.
