Whisky-wood-aged

Smoked malt appears very lightly and is a good company for other used malts. Result is quite dry flavor. As we get it Whisky and oak wood added to the fermentation.

Hops: Hallertau Aurora

Tap at Pult. Med-full body, medium carbonation. Pretty silky mouthfeel, small bubbles. Medium bitterness, moderate woody tartness. The barrel is adding moderate wood flavour and tannins, along with moderate whisky character, not much warmth present though. The base beer is roasty, with moderate coffee flavour, a bit burnt. Overall feeling a bit thin in terms of character, could use more richness. Also a bit unbalanced with the wood bit. Not bad, but not great either.

On tap at the former Klašterní restaurace area, for the Masopust event, with Ryan, the brewers, and many others! Very dark cola body, thick off-white head. Huge, enormous whiskey aroma, vanilla in force. Not much else in there, not even smoke, the whiskey, thankfully quite pleasant, has completely taken over. Huge whiskey in the taste as well, vanilla, raisins, smooth, some mild smoke underneath, light tannins, bit dry, but the base beer appears to be completely, utterly overrun. And I don't mind it, this is a good drink!
