So, my german wife says zungenbrecher means tongue twister in english. Pounder can for 3 bucks at chalet. Pour is perfectly clear orange brown. Nose is malty and the head is craggy. Quite strong and boozy on the uptake, some undue sweetness but not quite cloying. However, as I approach the middle, it is gaining a more boozy attitude as well as additional cloying sweetness. I'm left hoping the 8% will calm my nerves a bit to ignore the excessive sweet sentimentality. It also tends to get a bit mouthcoating. In the end, I'm glad this bomb is coming to the epilogue. It certainly is strong and it proves itself with the in yer face alky and sweetness but it will never live up to good examples like Klosterbrauerei Weltenburg Asam Bock, Peter Straub 20 Rock Doppelbock or even Troeg's Troegenator. There, you have it; straight from the horse's mouth of a macro lager lover, hehehh.

Reddish caramel with a large foamy tan head. Sweetish with light caramel, a hint of dark fruit, a bit of tobacco and an astringent presence. Medium finish. Moderately full bodied.
