Bottle 0.75l at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Bottled 11/12-2007. Best Before 1/12-2017. Colour is deep black with slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Hints of coffee and chocolate, elements of red wine and roasted malts. This is very heavy stuff and makes me sweat. This one has aged very well and doesn’t taste old.

Säuerlich malziger Antrunk, intensiv, angenehm hopfig, kurz brennend. Vollmundig, trotz der starken Malzigkeit süffig. Konstant säuerlich, wenig bitter werdend. Weinnoten, hopfig, Kirsche. 10/11/12/12/10/12

2007 bottle. Pours black with a latte coloured head. Milk, rum, raisin and chocolate notes in the aroma. The taste is vinous, almost berry-like. Slightly sour. Also some licorice, honey, chocolate and coffee bean notes. A bit dry. Very complex, unique and elegant beer.

Bottle thanks to Doodler. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with a backing sweet honey note and sweet chocolate with a hint of backing dark fruit. Flavor starts with roasted malts and a bit of sweet honey backed by some dark fruits. Real nice.

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Opaque black beer with a chocolate coloured head. Soft silky palate. Quite sour, pleasantly so - cherryish - appleish. Subtle smoky malt then back to a fruity - sourish finish which leaves a warming afterglow. Chocolate malt in the aftertaste. Well joined up porter.
