Backlog rating from Århus Ølfestival 2008: Chestnut, no head. Berry, honey nose. Sweet sugary, one-dimensional. Sticky mouthfeel. Boring.

Hazy dark amber color with red shades, and small head. Strange aroma, mix of caramel and some cheesy/feety feeling, Parmigiano Reggiano, Chinese food. Caramel and malt flavor with some fudge, butter, nuts; moderate sweetness and moderate bitterness; some alcohol warmth.
Odd.

Ordered as, and noted down as jacobsen imperial barley wine 2011 - cph beerfest. I am in doubt if this is actually what i got, i remember something was missing, was it 2011 or imperial?. murky brown, no head. malty faint aroma, flavor is boozy, sweet caramel, flowery, a liitle too caramelly to be really good.

Bottle. 75cl [Tasting @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen]. Clear light to medium amber color with a small, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, wood - oak. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. Just a thin thin version of the vintage. (110308)

75 cL, bottle # 084750. Pours dark orange with a fully diminished head. Aroma is dry, light chalky. Light oxidiced flavour. Light caramel malt and a mild lingring barley note. Dry finish. A faint flavour experience compared to the vintage versions.

Dark golden beer. Malt and fresh grain aromas. Very sweet malty flavour. Quite an unremarkable barleywine. Tasted 2008: Unremarkable, and it didn’t even age well. Still a 3.1 rating
