The Prodigal Haze Part VIII continues our exploration of intense hop character, combining Citra and Comet hops with Paradisi and Motueka for an extraordinary flavor journey. Brewed with a focus on cool whirlpool temperatures and massive whirlpool additions, this iteration brings forth aromas of passionfruit, dark berries, and bright citrus. Pouring a pale yellow color, akin to Part VII, this hazy beauty is a feast for the eyes and palate. The interplay of citrus and stone fruit flavors unfolds with each sip, evolving over Paradisi’s vanilla-like florality. Our house yeast’s creamy qualities meld with these tropical aromas, blurring the line between a Triple IPA and fresh sweet smoothies! As with every Prodigal Haze release, the experience remains as enticing at the last sip as it does at the first. Enjoy!

Can at home, from J and B Craft Drinks, Amsterdam, 4th July 25. Pours a yellow orange thick hop soup. Aroma is earthy, tropical and citrus. Taste is intensely fruity, citrus and tropical, earthy and dank, still with good bitterness and bite - excellent

Smooth, juicy tropical fruity and floral hoppy with some citrus, pine, grass, grapefruit and creamy fluffy body, hints of herbal notes. Fresh and balanced for a TIPA

Charlton draught, 3/17/25.
Turbid concrete. Small, white head.
Scallion to my nose, but it's very spicy and interesting. Ultra fine honey-like malt notes balance easily. No booze, no excess sugar, but boy does that scallion dominate. Deep spice, mineral, light tropical fruit behind it.
Super juicy, spicy, tropical and with dainty honey balancing nicely. Juicy and rich without any syrup, sugar, heat, etc...Clementine, pineapple and lemongrass continue the tropical spice assault. Not my favorite hop expression, all told, but the juxtaposition of rich honey and heavy spice is fun.

Pours a hazy, mustard-banana, with mid-sized head. Aroma is juicy citrus and tropical fruit, some stone fruit. Flavors follow. Very soft, smooth mouthfeel. Mild to moderate hop bitterness in the finish. This is very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of The Prodigal Haze Part VIII on 01 Jun 2025 at 17:25 - Score: Appearance - 9 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Pours a hazy, orange-banana smoothie color, with smallish head. Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus, with a dusty, astringent note. That astringent note is also present in the flavor, along with the citrus and tropical fruit and maybe some stone fruit, though I'm not convinced. Soft mouthfeel. Moderate hop bitterness through the finish.
