500ml bottle, part of a pack I bought for myself for Christmas last year, finally got round to opening it on 6th March 2025. Drank at home, poured into a vase shaped pint glass (Old Speckled Hen badged), it looked fine, a bright, clean and clear light amber body with a short lasting white crown. British hop bitter, no citrus fruits in this earthy/woody/twiggy brew. Not much malt action either, just an honest 'basic' bitterness. Most likely from Batemans, but don't actually know.

Bottle at home thanks to my in laws. A copper amber coloured pour with a greyish white head. Aroma is nutty maltrs, sweaty green hop, grasssy, sileage, slat. Flabour is composed of semi sweet, nutty, brown bread, brown sugars, wet grassy hop, sweaty, sileage, Palate is semi sweet, nutty, wet, mellow carbonation.
