En 2009:a lagrad ett år. Drucken 2010 års julölprovning. Väldigt fin och välbalanserad stout. Krämig chokladfondant, lätt rostad, lagrad lätt portvinsaktig ton av mörka torkade frukter.

(Bottle at Pikkulintu) The beer poured black. Its head was quite large and light brown. Aroma was roasty and spicy. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, mildly spiciness, burnt malts and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. Fitting combination of spices and beer.

Bottled 500ml @Beer Hunters (BB 08/2012)
Dark opaque black color, small steady beige head, lace. Milky, roasted malty aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor is also malty, coffeish with some burned malts. Kind of unbalanced and a bit too burned/harsh.

400ml draught, served chilled at Carlsens Kvarter. The content is black as the devil and with two patches on a shiny surface. Slightly roasted dark malts to the nose. Flavoured with spiced malts along with hints of coffee and dark mid-bitter fruits. Well bodied and good mouth feel. Fine Yuletide spirits in this one (Odense, 10.11.2010).

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.6%. Black colour, huge tan head. Moderate but nice aroma of mild coffee with just a hint of aniseed. Nice and full mouthfeel, medium sweet, roasty notes of coffee and dark chocolate, also moderate notes of aniseed and fennel seeds. Okay.

Bottled at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm. Almost black, creamy head. Concentrated aroma of herbal spices and licorice. Mid sweet with near full body and clan, rounded mouthfeel. Some butter, salt and bitter cocoa as well as aniseed and licorice. Salty licorice finish. An interesting spiced stout that would well for christmas also in Sweden.
