Bottled. A deep red beer with a nice tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of both fresh and over ripe fruits as well as some cowberries. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, fresh and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry nutty finish where a note of alcohol comes along and leaves a slight burn in the throat and a warmth in the cheeks.

Draught Red-amber beer, persistent yellow head. Honey, very fine running dark honey, natural impression. Honey as flavour again, honeybread, some herbal and wood-like flavours. MF hides the alcohol, despite a marked warming. Impressive Bock, with a real mead-like component.

Draught @ Ølbaren
Dark cherry ruby color, small steady pinky head. Sweetish fruity nose with toasted notes. Toasted malty, sweetish with alcohol and chocolaty notes. Alcoholic-hoppy aftertaste. Very nice.

Bottle @ Aarhus beerfestival 2008. Clear reddish color. Standard but decent smell of caramel and toasted malt. Slight fruity, strong malty taste. German styled doppelbocks are not my favorite, but this one is well made at least.

500 ml bottle. Almost clear reddish brown body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, brown sugar and dry fruit, very nice aroma. Flavor is distinct malty, caramel, dry fruit, sugar and alcohol. First impression is great, good locking and nice aroma. After the first malty mouthful the body feels a bit thin and unbalanced. After a few more sips this is a quite average beer in fact.

50 cL bottle. Pours hazy reddish with a lacing tan head. Malty, slight note of overripe fruits into a light spiced and towards wineous aroma. Flavour is sharp malty, light spiced accent, berry fruity towards overripe fruit. Ends with a lingering malt note and a sweet flavour into the finish, only light fruity at this stage.

Dark amber color; big head; nice perlage. Beyond the sweet aroma of caramel, there is not much more. The taste is a bit more complex, with a lot of rather sweet caramel, some sweet liquorice, some malt traces; medium body thickness. Ordinary.
