Cask at the Wharf, Aalborg. Dark ruby body that looks black at first sight, topped by a small beige head. A bit roasted aroma with hops, some coffee and ripe apples. Roasted malt, some hops and coffee in the flavor. Thin to medium body, coffee-bitter and hop-bitter finish. A nice, pleasant and easy-to-drink ale that could go all the evening. (070331)

Ink black body over a very low head. Lack of aroma. Some caramelisation flavour the beer. Medium bodied, but still a watery impression (Half on cask at The King’s Arms in Norwich 24.09.2006).

[Cask at GBBF 03] An opaque brown beer with a small brown disappearing head. The aroma is nutty with malt notes. The flavor starts on a pretty bitter note followed by a nice maltiness with a little note of roast malt. It ends on a pleasant bitterness. It is a little thin in the palate - probably because of the low alcohol content. All in all an average bitter.
